The College of Coastal Georgia ( Coastal Georgia) is a public college in Brunswick, Georgia. It was established in 1961 and opened in 1964, making it one of Georgia's newest state colleges. The college transitioned from a community college into a four-year college and conferred its first baccalaureate degrees on May 7, 2011.

It is part of the Glynn County School District and opened in 1967. In January 2014, Brunswick High School opened a new facility on 3885 Altama Avenue, becoming one of the largest new schools in the state.
Georgia voters passed a state constitutional amendment on November 2, 1920, to form Brantley County from pieces of Charlton, Pierce, and Wayne counties. Although the precise origin of the county name is unknown, it is believed that it honors U.S. congressman William Gordon Brantley or his father, Benjamin Daniel Brantley, a local merchant and Confederate soldier in the American Civil War .
