Louise Lehzen agierte erst als Erzieherin, dann als Ratgeberin und Vertraute von Victoria. Sie wurde zur Baroness ernannt, doch bald nach Victorias Krönung und ihrer Vermählung mit Albert von Sachsen-Coburg und Anhalt musste Lehzen den Königshof verlassen. Baroness Louise Lehzen was Princess Victoria's governess from 1824 and became the young queen's unofficial aide after she ascended the throne in 1837. In her journal the young princess described her governess as "the most affectionate, devoted, attached, and disinterested friend I have, and I love her most dearly."
Johanna Clara Louise Lehzen (3 October 1784 – 9 September 1870), also known as Baroness Louise Lehzen, was the governess and later companion to Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. Born to a Lutheran pastor, in 1819 Lehzen entered the household of the Duke of Kent , fourth son of King George III .
Johanna Clara Louise Lehzen (3 October 1784 – 9 September 1870), also known as Baroness Louise Lehzen, was the governess and later companion to Queen Victoria. Just before she acceded to the throne, Princess Victoria wrote of her governess Lehzen as “my ‘best and truest friend’ I have had for nearly 17 years and I trust I shall have for 30 or 40 and many more.”
