He was the son of William Seymour, 2nd Duke of Somerset and Lady Frances Devereux.1 He married Mary Capell, daughter of Arthur Capell, 1st Baron Capell of Hadham and Elizabeth Morrison, on 28 June 1648.2 He died on 30 March 1654.
