The Gordonstoun Pipe Band also regularly takes part in the annual Braemar Gathering, attended by His Majesty. His Majesty joins HRH The Princess Royal, who holds the role of ‘Warden’ at Gordonstoun, as an official supporter of the school. Her Royal Highness’s most recent visit to Gordonstoun was to open ‘The Queen Elizabeth II Rooms’.

Named after the 150-acre estate originally owned by Sir Robert Gordon in the 17th century, the school now uses this estate as its campus.

Exam results are strong, a point of pride being the 76 per cent of pupils receiving learning support who recently achieved A*–C at A-level.
