Soldier. After serving with Frederick the Great during the Seven Years' War, he took up residence in 1769 at his family's exclave, the County of Montbéliard, of which he was also made lieutenant-general in March 1786 by his eldest brother, Charles Eugene, Duke of Württemberg, who had begun to come into the inheritance of portions of the County of Limpurg in the 1780s.
Albrecht, Duke and Crown Prince of Württemberg (Albrecht Maria Alexander Philipp Joseph; 23 December 1865 – 31 October 1939) was the last heir presumptive to the Kingdom of Württemberg, a German military commander of World War I, and the head of the House of Württemberg from 1921 to his death.
Married firstly Princess Marie of Waldeck and Pyrmont (1857–1882) daughter of George Victor, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont and secondly Princess Charlotte of Schaumburg-Lippe (1864–1946) daughter of Prince Wilhelm Karl August of Schaumburg-Lippe.
Prince Christian Everhard was married to Princess Eberhardine Sophie of Oettingen-Oettingen (born: 16 August 1666; died 30 October 1700), a daughter of Albert Ernest I, Prince of Öttingen-Öttingen (1642-1683) and his first wife, Duchess Christine Friederike of Württemberg (1644-1674). The couple had the following children:
Duchess Margareta Luise (25 November 1928 – 10 June 2017) married François Luce-Bailly, Viscount of Chevigny (15 June 1923 – 6 March 2022) on August 8, 1970. She had one son before marriage. Duke Eugen Eberhard (2 November 1930 – 26 July 2022) married in 1962 (div 1972) Archduchess Alexandra of Austria (b. 21 May 1935), daughter of Princess Ileana of Romania and had no issue.
Wilhelm Friedrich Carl Philipp Albert Nikolaus Erich Maria, Duke of Württemberg (born 13 August 1994) is the head of the House of Württemberg and a German businessperson. He is Chair of the Hofkammer des Hauses Württemberg, the company which manages the forests, farms, wineries, and housing estates of the former royal family of the Kingdom of Württemberg.
