She began seeing Hitler often about two years later. She attempted suicide twice during their early relationship. By 1936, Braun was a part of Hitler's household at the Berghof near Berchtesgaden, Bavaria, Germany, and lived a sheltered life throughout World War II.

Eva Braun met Adolf Hitler in 1929, at the age of 17. At the time she was employed as a saleswoman in the shop of Heinrich Hoffmann, Hitler’s photographer and friend. Hoffmann introduced Hitler to Braun as “Herr Wolf.”
