In 2023, Amsterdam native Wally Tax would have turned 75. As the frontman of The Outsiders, he is seen as the first international pop star from the Netherlands. The band, consisting of Leen Busch (drums), Appie Rammers (bass), Ron Splinter (guitar) and Wally, performed as the support act for The Rolling Stones and achieved international fame.
