Louis II, Count of Nassau-Weilburg. Mother. Anna Maria of Hesse-Kassel. Ernest Casimir of Nassau-Weilburg (15 November 1607 – 16 April 1655) was the founder of the younger line of Nassau-Weilburg. He was a son of Louis II, Count of Nassau-Weilburg and his wife Anna Maria of Hesse-Kassel (1567–1626).

Elisabeth of Hesse. Count Louis I of Nassau-Weilburg (1473 – 28 May 1523) was a son of Count John III of Nassau-Weilburg and his wife, Elisabeth of Hesse. His parents were Louis II of Nassau-Weilburg (died: 8 November 1627 in Saarbrücken) and Landgravine Anna Maria of Hesse-Kassel (1567–1626). His father had in 1605 re-united all the possessions of the Walram line of the House of Nassau. After his education at Metz from 1609 to 1614 he made a Grand Tour of France, the Netherlands and England.
29 de sept. de 2021 · Louis also inherited the territories of his uncle Philip IV of Nassau-Saarbrücken (died: 12 March 1602) and John Louis II of Nassau-Wiesbaden (died: 9 June 1605), who was the last of his line. So he ended up combining the entire property of the Walram line in one hand. Louis moved his seat of government to Saarbrücken Castle.
