John de Warenne (30 de junio de 1286 - junio de 1347), VII conde de Surrey fue un noble inglés del siglo XIV, e importante cortesano de la corte de Eduardo II de Inglaterra. En 1304, al morir su abuelo paterno, John de Warenne, VI conde de Surrey, el único hermano de Alice heredó el condado y se convirtió en el VII conde de Surrey. Éste se distanció de su esposa, que no le había dado hijos, y nunca se reconciliaron, por lo que Alice pasó a ser la heredera presuntiva del título y las propiedades de Surrey.

10 de jul. de 2021 · John de Warenne was a brutal man with a sense of humour; he once claimed the rights to all the rabbit warrens in Surrey – because it was his name! His son, William de Warenne, had died during a tournament in 1286, so when John died in 1304, aged 72, he was succeeded by his 18-year-old grandson, John II de Warenne.
