The coat of arms of the Bagrationi dynasty has been used by the former royal family of Georgia and its descendants. It is a symbol of the Bagrationi dynasty , which claims the erstwhile Georgian crown.

His famous Description of the Kingdom of Georgia is essentially an adorned synopsis of the initial texts of the corpus of medieval Georgian annals, Kartlis Tskhovreba. Vakhushti was critical of the re-edition of the corpus assembled by a scholarly commission chaired by his father Vakhtang VI.
Vakhtang (Georgian: ვახტანგი) or Tsuata (Georgian: ცუატა) (c. 1118 – 1138) was a Georgian royal prince (batonishvili) of the Bagrationi dynasty. He was the son of King David IV the Builder and the Cuman - Kipchak princess Gurandukht, daughter of Khan Otrok .

8 de ago. de 2023 · Vakhtang was the first Georgian ruler of the Mukhranian branch of the house of Bagrationi, and succeeded his cousin, David, as the Lord of Mukhrani (Mukhranbatoni) in 1629. He was adopted, in 1653, by the childless ruler of Kartli, Rostom Khan, [ Prince Rostam Khan of Kartli Mukhran-Bagratoni] as his heir and successor to the throne.
17 de jun. de 2022 · Demetrius I (დემეტრე I) (c. 1093 – 1156), from the Bagrationi dynasty, was King of Georgia from 1125 to 1156. He is also known as a poet. Demetrius was the eldest son of King David the Builder by his first wife Rusudan. As a commander, he took part in his father’s battles, particularly at Didgori (1121) and Shirvan (1123).
