The band initially consisted of drummer Graeme Edge, guitarist/vocalist Denny Laine, keyboardist/vocalist Mike Pinder, multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Ray Thomas, and bassist/vocalist Clint Warwick.
Clint Warwick, nee Albert Eccles, the founding bassist of The Moody Blues, died of a liver ailment on May 15 at age 63. Warwick was a member of the group along Denny Laine, Mike Pinder, Ray Thomas and Graeme Edge and recorded on their first hit "Go Now." He left the Moody Blues in 1966 after just two years due to the strains of touring.

Denny sent this: “Clint (Albert Eccles) Warwick was a second-to-none bass player and high harmony singer and the nicest person on the planet. Thankfully, he did not miss out on the big time completely —-after all, he did get a number one record forever attached to his legacy (Go Now).
Clint, who started his music career in the late 1950s as a member of “Danny King and The Dukes”, later became a founding member of the internationally famous Moody Blues. Warwick left the band in 1966, and his music career, to become a carpenter and spend time with his family, and was replaced briefly by Rod Clark and then by John Lodge.
