Leopold IV. Friedrich, Herzog von Anhalt. Von 1817 bis 1871 Herzog von Anhalt (-Dessau). Geb. 1.10.1794 in Dessau, gest. 22. Mai 1871 in Dessau. Er war ein Sohn des Erbprinzen Friedrich von Anhalt (1769-1814) und übernahm 1817 als Nachfolger seines Großvaters Leopold III. Friedrich Franz von Anhalt-Dessau (1740-1817) die Regierung.

Leopold IV, Duke of Anhalt (b. Dessau, 1 October 1794 - d. Dessau, 22 May 1871) was a German prince of the House of Ascania, ruler of the duchy of Anhalt-Dessau, and from 1863 the first ruler of the united duchy of Anhalt. He was married to Princess Frederica Wilhelmina of Prussia (daughter of Prince Louis Charles of Prussia ).
Less than one year after the birth of his daughter, Leopold died unexpectedly in Cannes on 2 February 1886. As he had no sons, he was succeeded as Hereditary prince by his younger brother Frederick who would eventually become Duke Frederick II of Anhalt. Princess Elisabeth never remarried and survived her husband by almost 70 years.
