Biography. The Hon. Luther W. Simmons (Ret.) served as an associate judge for the 3rd Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. Simmons was appointed to the bench by the judges of the 3rd Judicial Circuit in 2015. He retired in 2018 and became a shareholder in the Complex Litigation Department and Asbestos Department at Simmons Hanly Conroy.
