Harry Saul Bloom (* 1. Januar 1913 in Johannesburg; † 28. Juli 1981 in Canterbury) war ein südafrikanischer Journalist, Autor, Aktivist und Dozent. Leben. Bloom wurde in eine jüdische, südafrikanische Familie geboren. Er wurde an der Witwatersrand-Universität ausgebildet und absolvierte 1937 sein Jurastudium.
Biographie. Solomon Harris Bloom est né dans une famille juive sud-africaine. Il a fait ses études à l’ Université du Witwatersrand où il obtient un diplôme en droit en 1937. Il devient par la suite avocat à Johannesburg. En 1940 il épouse Beryl Cynthia Gordon et déménage à Londres, résidant dans Old Compton Street pendant le Blitz.

When Transvaal Espisode was first published in South Africa in 1956 it sold 20,000 copies and was reprinted and translated in 17 other countries.
