Peter Simonischek played the title role in Jedermann (Everyman) in Salzburg from 2002 to 2009. He joined the Burgtheater ensemble in the 1999/2000 season and has remained ever since. In 2018 he received the Nestroy Theatre Award in the Best Male Actor category for his portrayal of Afzal in The Who and the What by Ayad Akhtar at the Akademietheater.
