Fredric March. Actor: Inherit the Wind. Fredric March began a career in banking but in 1920 found himself cast as an extra in films being produced in New York. He starred on the Broadway stage first in 1926 and would return there between screen appearances later on.
One of the greatest stars of the 30's, Fredric March was excellent and prolific and made many excellent movies in the decade. His transition to the 40's through the 70's even elevated his stature in film, with memorable characterizations including The Best Years of Our Lives, Death of a Saleman, and Inherit the Wind.
