Stephen Rea es un actor irlandés. Hijo de un conductor de autobuses, Rea estudió Lengua y Literatura Inglesa en la Queen’s University de Belfast. Recibió clases de Interpretación en el Abbey Theatre de Dublín. Durante los años 60 y 70 intervino principalmente en producciones teatrales y televisivas.
