  4. Irene Handl, (27 December 1901 — 29 November 1987), was a British character actress who appeared in over 100 films. She learned her skills studying at an acting school before appearing on stage in 1937. At the start of The '40s, she appeared in Uncredited Roles in British films, until The '50s, wherein she began to be cast in bigger roles.

  5. Mini Biography. Born in London, the daughter of an Austrian banker and his aristocratic French wife, Irene Handl studied at the Embassy School of Acting, and was on stage from 1937. She also wrote two novels: The Sioux (1965) and The Gold-Tipped Phitzer (1966), noted for their originality and ornate literary style.
