While Brand X appeared to have been tossed onto the scrapheap, they became one of those bands whose life was artificially extended as vinyl gave way to CD in the mid-80s onwards and their back catalogue was recycled via ‘Compact Price’ campaigns and the ‘Introduction To…’ reissue programme.
