Stephen Richard „Steve“ Hackett (* 12. Februar 1950 in London) ist ein britischer Komponist und Musiker. Besondere Bekanntheit erlangte er als Gitarrist der Progressive-Rock -Gruppe Genesis, mit der er zwischen 1971 und 1977 insgesamt sechs Studioalben veröffentlichte. 1985 war er Mitbegründer der kurzlebigen Supergroup GTR.
