Hace 4 días · The Thomas Pelham in question was probably the person of that name, afterwards Earl of Chichester, who in 1761 became a lord of the Admiralty. Francis Dashwood (Baron Le Despencer) was born in Great Marlborough Street in 1708.

Hace 5 días · John Buxton Pelham, 8th Earl of Chichester was the son of Jocelyn Brudenell Pelham, 6th Earl of Chichester O.B.E., D.L., J.P and Ruth Pelham. He married Ursula von Pannwitz, daughter of Walter de Pannwitz, on Wednesday, 27 March 1940. He died in 1944 at age 31, killed in a road accident, while on active service.
