Juho Kusti Paasikivi. Estudió derecho e historia en las universidades de Estocolmo, Uppsala y Leipzig. Juho Kusti Paasikivi was a Finnish statesman and diplomat who, as prime minister (1918, 1944–46) and then president (1946–56) of Finland, cultivated harmonious relations with the Soviet Union in an effort to ensure some measure of independence for Finland.

Juho Kusti Paasikivi (1887. aastani Johan Gustaf Hellstén; 27. november 1870 Huljala, Koski HI. vald – 14. detsember 1956 Helsingi) oli Soome poliitik, Soome president aastail 1946–1956. 22. maist 1907 kuni 31. maini 1909 ning 1. märtsist 1910 kuni 1. veebruarini 1914 oli ta Soome kindralkubermangu Eduskunna liige ( Soome Erakond ).
J.K. (Juho Kusti) Paasikivi was one of the key decision-makers in the political and economic life of Finland for over 50 years. As President of the Republic from 1946 to 1956 he implemented Finland’s foreign policy – the ’Paasikivi line’ – which tried to avoid antagonising the Soviet Union and still preserve as much as possible of Finland’s independence.
Signature. Juho Kusti Paasikivi (27 November 1870–14 December 1956 Helsinki ). He was the seventh president of Finland, from 1946 to 1956. He was first person to have his picture printed on Finnish money. First wife was Anna Matilda Forsman (1897–1931). Paasikivi studied history and law in Imperial Alexander University in Helsinki.
