Michael of Imereti. Michael ( Georgian: მიქელი, Mik'el) (died 1329), from the Bagrationi dynasty, was king of Western Georgia from 1327 to 1329. He claimed the throne of Western Georgia ( Imereti) when his brother Constantine I came to power in 1293, but only obtained it after a civil war lasting nearly 35 years in 1327.

Constantine was a son of King Bagrat III of Imereti and brother of King George II of Imereti. He was opposed to his brother, George, who had him and his son Rostom cast in prison in 1583. After the death of George in 1585, Constantine attempted to disinherit George's young heir, Levan and seized the territory east of the Rioni River , including Skanda , Katskhi , and Argueti .
Prince Constantine was a son of King David II of Imereti and Ana Orbeliani. At the age of three, he was surrendered by his father as a hostage to Solomon II, who had won a power struggle and dethroned David in 1791. When David attempted to reclaim the throne in 1792, Solomon had Constantine incarcerated in the castle of Mukhuri. [1]
