ロマン・ロラン（Romain Rolland, 1866年 1月29日 - 1944年 12月30日）は、フランスの小説家、評論家。理想主義的ヒューマニズム、平和主義、反ファシズムを掲げて戦争反対を世界に叫び続け、フランスでは評価されなかったが国際的に多くの知友を持った。
ロマン・ロラン(Romain Rolland)は1866年フランスの中部クラムシーに生まれた（父は公証人）。パリの高等師範学校に学び、歴史を専攻、優秀な成績で卒業し、選ばれて二年間ローマに留学。文学博士の学位を得、母校で、ついでパリ大学で音楽史を講じた。
