Bárbara Jagellón ( Sandomierz, 15 de julio de 1478- Leipzig, 15 de febrero de 1534) fue una princesa de Polonia, y por matrimonio duquesa de Sajonia . Familia. Bárbara era hija del rey Casimiro IV de Polonia y de su esposa, Isabel de Habsburgo de Hungría. Sus abuelos paternos eran Vladislao II de Polonia y su cuarta esposa, Sofía de Halshany.
Barbara Jagiellon (15 July 1478 – 15 February 1534) was a Polish princess, member of the Jagiellonian dynasty and by marriage Duchess of Saxony . Born in Sandomierz, she was the sixth daughter of King Casimir IV of Poland and Archduchess Elisabeth of Austria.
One Jagiellon, Władysław III of Poland, briefly ruled both Poland and Hungary (1440–1444), and two others ruled both Bohemia and Hungary (1490–1526) and then continued in the distaff line as a branch of the House of Habsburg.
When Barbara Jagiellon was born on 15 July 1478, in Sandomierz, Tarnobrzeg, Poland, her father, Casimir IV King of Poland, was 50 and her mother, Elizabeth von Habsburg Österreich, was 42. She married Georg von Wettin on 21 November 1496, in Leipzig, Saxony, Germany.
