Syed Ahmad Musavi Hindi (Persian: احمد موسوی هندی; 1800–1869) was a Twelver Shia cleric. He was the paternal grandfather of the supreme leader of the Islamic republic of Iran , Ruhollah Khomeini .
Primii ani de viață. Ruhollah Mostafavi Musavi Khomeini s-a născut în provincia iraniană Markazi, în orașul Khomeyn, aflat la o distanță de 325 de km de capitala Teheran. Era fiul lui Mostafa Hindi, iar după moartea sa din anul 1903, mama a fost cea care s-a ocupat de creșterea și educatia lui.
Mostafa and his brother Ahmad became part of Khomeini's underground movement. The group also included Mohammad Beheshti and Morteza Motahhari. In 1970 Khomeini asked Hassan Shirazi who had been released from prison to go to Lebanon to find individual and institutional supporters. Shirazi carried out this activity in Lebanon until 1974.
