Nestled amidst the lush Kensington Gardens, the palace has witnessed countless tales of love, power, and intrigue. The Stuart monarchs, King William III and Queen Mary II, acquired the country estate in the late 17th century and transformed it into a palace.
Opening times. Wednesday to Sunday: 10:00 - 18:00 (pre-booking advised) Last admission: 17:00. The Sunken Garden is open 10:00 - 18:00 daily. Kensington Palace will be closed all day on 23 and 24 May. Untold Lives will be closed until 12:00 on Monday 17 June.
