    Schönhausen (Elbe) ist die größte Gemeinde im Landkreis Stendal. Das Dorf liegt reizvoll in der Flusslandschaft der Mittelelbe. Als Geburtsort des ersten Reichskanzlers Otto von Bismarck hat es dadurch an Geschichtsträchtigkeit gewonnen und verfügt über das Bismarck-Museum und die Schönhausener Dorfkirche, als bedeutendster Nachfolgebau der Klosterkirche in Jerichow.
