1 de mar. de 1987 · Nora Kaye, a leading American ballerina whose exceptional power as a dramatic dancer made her an international star, died yesterday at her home in Los Angeles after a long illness. She was 67.

8 de abr. de 2011 · Nora Kaye's performance as Hagar in the world premiere of Antony Tudor's Pillar of Fire, on April 8, 1942, was hailed by the New York Times as "superb." The Times reviewer wrote that Kaye danced the role "so beautifully that it is impossible to conceive of anybody else doing it."
Nora Kaye’s father was an actor who’d worked under Konstantin Stanislavski; her earliest ballet teacher was Ballets Russes choreographer Michel Fokine. (“He was more interested in creating roles than in teaching class,” she recalled in the February 1965 issue of Dance Magazine .)
