Hace 10 horas · While I Saw the TV Glow pulls from young-adult television hits like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Are You Afraid of the Dark?, the filmmaker has cited David Lynch's Twin Peaks as a huge influence. From I Saw the TV Glow's eerie soundtrack and its more surreal storytelling elements to the atmospheric menace that permeates the film's suburban setting, it all feels very Lynchian.
Have you seen Twin Peaks: The Return? It's the most interesting and creative 18 hours of television (or film) from the last decade --- and was created well after Lynch became interested in transcendental meditation. (Obviously I'm not claiming that transcendental meditation is what made The Return so interesting and creative.

Enmeshed in Laura's life, Maddy even helps investigate her cousin's murder. Essentially, Maddy opens the door to Owen's self-investigation.
A 1955 Hitchcock movie that has a twin peaks vibe. Give it a watch, very fun. Coming in to OP very unfairly downvoted. This movie is incredibly cozy-the color palette is outrageous. Tonally it is a dark comedy-not super like Twin Peaks, but I can see why one would want to recommend it to any fan. Pretty corny but sweet romcom elements, too.
