His main intention for stepping into the director’s shoes in his 1971 film Play Misty for Me was to stay behind the camera even after retiring from acting.

My only gripe is that they didn’t get Clint Eastwood to voice the Spirit of the West. Timothy Olyphant does a decent impression of him, but it would’ve been so much cooler to have Clint Eastwood do it himself. I could be wrong, but has Clint Eastwood ever done an animated film? I don’t think he has.
