Johan Axelsson Oxenstierna af Södermöre (24 June 1611 – 5 December 1657) was a Count and a Swedish statesman. Biography. The son of Lord High Chancellor Axel Oxenstierna, he was born in Stockholm. He completed his studies at Uppsala in 1633, and was sent by his father on a grand tour through France, the Netherlands, and Great Britain.

Count Johan Gabriel Oxenstierna (19 July 1750 – 29 July 1818) is considered one of the foremost Swedish poets of the Gustavian period. A prominent courtier during the reign of King Gustav III of Sweden, he was also a politician, diplomat and member of the Swedish Academy, holding seat number 8.
Count Johan Oxenstierna comes from one of the oldest noble families of Sweden, whose origins go back to 1292. In 1917 he graduated from school and became a Navy officer. Five years later he married Görel Elisabeth Huitfeldt, with whom he had two sons and one daughter.

Johan Gabriel Oxenstierna af Korsholm och Wasa (28 August 1899 – 18 July 1995) was a Swedish modern pentathlete and naval officer. He won a gold medal at the 1932 Summer Olympics. Oxenstierna belonged to one of the oldest noble families of Sweden, which is known from the 13th century.
