Name another storyline that doesn't end in only one way, thus stripping agency from the PC. Mages guild? One ending. Main quest? One ending. There's zero validity to your argument. If your character would not become a servant to sheogorath then you can simply do the DLC with another character. Did you do the Dark Brotherhood with this character?
