Western filmmakers have used the idea of the TSRR as a backdrop to films from the 2008 Transsiberian murder mystery (Filmmax, Icon Productions) to the 1972 horror film, Fear Train (Granada Films) although these movies were filmed in Lithuania and Spain, respectively.
