On 5 July, at around 12:31pm, Alaska Department of Public Safety Patrol received a mayday call from a commercial salmon fisherman in Kvichak Bay in southern Alaska, US. The fisherman reported he'd lost a member of his crew overboard.

According to preliminary reports on Tuesday, the woman was thrown into the water as gale-force winds whipped up waves as high as 2 meters in the area.

I figure they got out there and sobered up and reflected on their life. One man I knew had a seizure and went overboard while the big sharks were in a feeding frenzy on the bycatch.
