Hace 5 días · Sir William Bonville, who resided at Trelawney, in Pelynt, having become possessed of it by gift of his relation Sir John Herle, heir-general of the Bodrugans, was summoned to parliament, as a baron, in 1449. His son and grandson died before him without male issue.
Hace 2 días · Some attempt seems to have been made to settle the manor on the issue of Elizabeth's marriage with Stuckley, but this was unsuccessful and in 1421 William Bonville regained possession. William, at his death in 1461, was succeeded by his great-granddaughter Cicely, who was married to Thomas Grey, Marquess of Dorset.
Hace 4 días · On Catherine's death in 1417 the property reverted to William Bonville, grandson of Sir William and Catherine's nephew. Bonville (cr. Lord Bonville 1449) settled Yeovilton on William Tailboys (d. 1464) on his marriage with Bonville's daughter Elizabeth. Elizabeth died in 1491, and her son Sir Robert Tailboys in 1495.
