Hace 10 horas · Admiral Hyman G. Rickover, the father of the nuclear Navy, was born in Makow, Poland , on 27 January 1900. At the age of 6, he came to the United States, settling in Chicago. Rickover entered the U.S. Naval Academy in 1918 and was commissioned an ensign in June 1922.
