Hace 1 día · The Indus script is the short strings of symbols associated with the Harappan civilization of ancient India (most of the Indus sites are distributed in present-day Pakistan and northwest India) used between 2600 and 1900 BCE, which evolved from an early Indus script attested from around 3500–3300 BCE.
The purpose of comparative linguistics is to compare and make reconstructions that fit data, not try to fit old reconstructions to erring data. With likely *-kWe in mind, there is a way to unite many irregularities into one theory that also explains the etymology of Indo-European ‘five’ in a rational way.
