Knowsley Hall is a stately home near Liverpool in the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley, Merseyside, England. It is the ancestral home of the Stanley family, the Earls of Derby. The hall is surrounded by 2,500 acres (10 km 2) of parkland, which contains the Knowsley Safari Park.
Throughout the centuries Knowsley Estate has been adapted to many different uses and enterprises. Today it is home to the 19th Earl of Derby and his family and to many contrasting yet thriving enterprises that comprise the family business.
This exceptional tradition of racing and breeding thoroughbreds continues today at Lord Derby’s Stanley House Stud in Newmarket. The 19th Earl’s success with Ouija Board in The Oaks in 2004 brought Classic success back to Stanley House Stud after 59 years.
