Hace 1 día · (DECATUR, Ga.) — Thirty-four years after a brother and sister were murdered, a man has been indicted in the slayings when he was linked to the cold case via DNA, Georgia prosecutors said. John Sumpter was stabbed and his sister, Pamela Sumpter, was raped and stabbed at their Stone Mountain apartment on July 15, 1990, according to the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office.
Cold Mountain was released in 2003. The film had one win, Supporting Actress for Zellweger, at the 76th Academy Awards. Zellweger was selected for Best Supporting Actress of the year in a lineup that also included Shohreh Aghdashloo in House of Sand and Fog , Patricia Clarkson in Pieces of April , Marcia Gay Harden in Mystic River and Holly Hunter in Thirteen .
