Yorkshire voices are so classic and the chicken characters so believable. Then there's Mel Gibson as the Rooster who tries to teach them how to fly the coop. The farmer and his wife are not having any of their nonsense.

One intrepid chicken, Ginger (voiced by Julia Sawalha) sets her sights on breaking out the whole flock, a cast of beautifully individuated chicken characters including ditsy Babs (voiced by Jane Horrocks), matronly Bunty (Imelda Staunton) and practical-minded Mac (Lynn Ferguson).
Ginger, as the lead hen, convinces Rocky to teach them all how to fly so they can escape before being turned into chicken pot pies by the farmer's wife. Yet, Rocky is hiding a terrible secret that could lead them all into disaster.
