Sir Henry Killigrew (c. 1528 – 1603) was a Cornish diplomat and an ambassador for the Kingdom of England in the sixteenth century. He was several times employed by Elizabeth I in Scottish affairs and served as one of the English appointees to the Council of State of the Netherlands in the United Provinces in 1586 and 1587–1589.
Hace 4 días · The Reverend Dr Henry Killigrew, son of Sir Robert and Mary, was a Canon of Westminster in 1642 and again after the Restoration from 1660 to his death. He was brother of Thomas and Sir William Killigrew, both dramatists. He presented the black and white marble pavement in the Abbey's Lady Chapel.
Henry Killigrew was Neville’s father-in-law, and he was one of the government editors of the 1587 edition of Holinshed, Shakespeare’s main source for the history plays. Neville knew Ralph Newbery (1535-1608), the printer of Holinshed. In 1603, Newbery purchased the manor of Wolfines in White Waltham from Neville.

Biography. The younger son of a leading Protestant appointed by Henry VIII as captain of Pendennis castle, Henry Killigrew probably entered the household of John Dudley, Viscount Lisle, under the aegis of his uncle Benet, a groom of the King’s privy chamber.
Henry Killigrew (11 February 1613 – 14 March 1700) was an English clergyman and playwright. He became a chaplain to Charles I , and chaplain and almoner to James, Duke of York (the future James II ).

Henry Killigrew (1613–1700), a clergyman, wrote only one play ... but he wrote it twice. His The Conspiracy was published in 1638, apparently pirated; he revised it into Pallantus and Eudora (1653). Henry was the father of the poet Anne Killigrew.
