Catherine Hamilton-Gordon, Countess of Aberdeen (10 January 1784 – 29 February 1812), formerly Lady Catherine Elizabeth Hamilton, was the first wife of British prime minister George Hamilton-Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen.

Biography. Lady Catherine Elizabeth Hamilton was born on 10 January 1784. She was the daughter of Sir John James Hamilton, 1st Marquess of Abercorn and Catherine Copley. She married George Hamilton-Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen, son of George Gordon, Lord Haddo and Charlotte Baird, on 28 July 1805 at Bentley Prior, Stanmore, London, England.

George Hamilton-Gordon, 4th Earl of Aberdeen, KG, KT, PC, FRS, FRSE, FSA Scot (28 January 1784 – 14 December 1860), styled Lord Haddo from 1791 to 1801, was a British statesman, diplomat and landowner, successively a Tory, Conservative and Peelite politician and specialist in foreign affairs.

He married Catherine Copley (died 13 September 1791), daughter of Sir Joseph Copley, 1st Baronet, on 20 June 1779 at St Marylebone. They had five children: Lady Harriet Margaret Hamilton (1780–1803), died unmarried.
