The group released two singles from the soundtrack, Music from Monkey Grip EP , [13] " Boys in Town ", which reached No. 8 on the national singles chart, [14] and "Only Lonely". [1]

25 de feb. de 2023 · Divinyls released two singles from the "Music from Monkey Grip" EP, "Boys in Town" and "Only Lonely," which received nationwide success in Australia. The band's debut album, "Desperate," followed in 1983 and was a mix of rock, punk, and pop with strong vocals from Amphlett.
Released: September 1981. Monkey Grip is a soundtrack to the film of the same name, with songs provided by the Divinyls. The movie is an adaptation by director Ken Cameron of Helen Garner 's novel Monkey Grip. The movie had little impact at the box office, taking only A$ 451,000.
