Born in 1488; died on June 19, 1563; daughter of Henry I the Elder, duke of Brunswick, and Catherine of Pomerania (d. 1526); married Magnus, duke of Saxe-Lüneburg, on November 20, 1509; children: Katarina of Saxe-Lüneburg (1513–1535); Dorothea of Saxe-Lauenburg (1511–1571).
