Amaury de Montfort (1242 or 1243 – 1301) was the third son of parliamentary pioneer Simon de Montfort, 6th Earl of Leicester, and Eleanor of England, daughter of King John. Biography. Amaury entered the priesthood as a young man, and held the positions of Treasurer of York Cathedral, canon of Rouen, Évreux, London and Lincoln.

In April 1242, she attended the king’s council in Chinon together with her sister-in-law Amicia de Montfort, Countess of Joigny 46, and she died some time after 1248, on September 17 47. Jean would go on crusade under Louis IX and die on Cyprus in the winter of 1248/1249, leaving an only daughter, also named Béatrix.
