Richard Diamond, Private Detective is an American detective drama, created by Blake Edwards, which aired on radio from 1949 to 1953, and on television from 1957 to 1960.
Richard Diamond is a suave private investigator who at first walks the mean streets of New York City, then later packs up and moves to Los Angeles, California, where he tools around in a convertible with a car phone.

When Richard Diamond learns that his former war buddy Jack Milhoan has turned bad, he finds himself torn between friendship and principle - Jack is a cold-blooded killer, but he also is a friend who needs help.
When his latest client steals his car, private detective Richard Diamond is plunged into a case involving stolen money, a social club for the lonely and a criminal with a conscience.
