David Howell Evans (born 8 August 1961), better known as the Edge or simply Edge, is a British-Irish musician, singer, and songwriter. He is best known as the lead guitarist, keyboardist, and backing vocalist of the rock band U2 .
Friday y su compañero vocalista Guggi, junto con el tercer vocalista Dave-iD Busaras, el guitarrista Dik Evans (hermano de The Edge de U2), el bajista Strongman (Trevor Rowen, hermano de Guggi) y el baterista Pod (Anthony Murphy), completaron la alineación original. Pod dejó el grupo y fue reemplazado por Haa-Lacka Binttii (né Daniel Figgis).
