Sir Thomas Green (c. 1461 – 9 November 1506) was a member of the English gentry who died in the Tower of London, where he had been imprisoned for treason. He is best known as the grandfather of Catherine Parr, last wife of King Henry VIII.

She was the mother of Catherine Parr, the sixth wife of King Henry VIII of England. She was a close friend and lady-in-waiting to Catherine of Aragon. She was also co-heiress to her father, Sir Thomas Green of Green's Norton in Northamptonshire along with her sister, Anne, Lady Vaux .

Thomas Greene (b. abt. 1343 - d. 1391) was the eldest son of Sir Henry "Chief Justice of the King's Bench" (d. 1369), possibly by his first wife, Amabilia. The Inquisition Post Mortem of Thomas Grene, Knight, took place in September 15 Richard II [1391] [3].

He was sent to the Tower of London, accused of taking part in treasonable activity by the Yorkist heir, Edmund de La Pole. Sir Thomas apparently was cleared of the charge, but died before he could be released from prison, leaving a considerable estate to his two daughters.
