En dicha academia, fundada por Cesare Vitti, trabajaron las tres –y jóvenes- hermanas y modelos de apellido Caira: Maria, Anna y Jacinta, que habían llegado de Gallinaro, provincia de Frosinone, en el Lacio ...
En París sería alumna de Anglada Camarasa en la Academia Vitti, y el amor de aquel por los empastes se manifestaría en Ninfas encadenando a Sileno (1910), su única pintura mitológica, que le valió una medalla en la Exposición Nacional de Bellas Artes (antes logró otra por una obra perdida: Los primeros pasos ).
